Platypus surfs on the Gold Coast
Bronze Platypus on the Gold Coast The Gold Coast is a popular tourist destination on the eastern coast of Queensland Australia. The Gold Coast is located on the traditional land of the Yugambeh people. I visited the Gold Coast botanical gardens a lovely oasis within the city located at 232 Ashmore Road, Benowa. The gardens feature a series of Australia wildlife statues by Laurence Allen. A lovely mosaic mural is also featured in the sensory garden. Fuzeillear Claire Matthews also known as Fuzeillear is a local artist known for her large scale animal murals. She created some murals for the Coomera Westfields located at 103 Foxwell Road. I didn't check out the Westfields but it looked quite massive and a good range of stores. David Fleay Wildlife Park David Fleay (1907-1993) was an Australia zoologist and conservationist who successfully captive bred a selection of endangered animals within captivity including the first platypus born into captivity.
