For Our Elders

I visited the NAIDOC exhibition on at Campbelltown art centre. NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines' and Islanders' Day Observance Committee.  NAIDOC is a week long celebration of Australian First Nations and Torres Strait Islanders, held between the first week of July.  The Campbelltown art centre is on Dharawal land.  The exhibition is a collection of artworks from young people from Reiby Youth Justice Centre and Cobham Youth Justice Centre and workshops facilitated by Campbelltown Arts Centre and led by artists Jason Wing and Maddison Gibbs.  The exhibition runs until July 23rd 2023. Read more about the exhibition here.

Final Thoughts

The exhibition was wonderful and a great display of local young talent. The art centre does great coffee too.

  1. Nice pieces, I love the style of First Nations art, with it's clear lines, shapes and dots :-)
