River Of Art and Animals

Batemans Bay is a popular tourist destination on the South Coast of New South Wales Australia.  Batemans Bay is located on the lands of the Yuin people.  A beautiful welcome to Batemans Bay mural featuring local First Nations who live in the community, including Walbunja Elder Autie Loretta, her grand daughter Bimi Freeman and Journalist Stan Grant (Wiradjuri but living in Yuin land). The mural was created by artist Matt Adnate and is featured on the side of Woolworths carpark located at 19 Clyde Street.

River of Art

The River of Art is an Annual festival that celebrates art within the Eurobodalla region following the art trail down the south coast. The River of Art Prize this year was held at Bay Pavilions in Batemans Bay, the 33 Finalist's artworks were on display. Below are some of my favourites from the exhibition. Final thoughts

Batemans Bay is a picturesque coastal town and I like how the street art is beginning to grow in the area, the public art trail is lovely too.  The seabirds and nature are wonderful too.

  1. great post with lots of lovely shots. I think I'd pick the cardboard platy and the seahorse in front of that mural on the Beatshed as my fav. Bautiful diamond python and cute Gallah/Corella hybrid too!
